## 1. Camera first principles

A camera does not merely record an object. It establishes a relationship among subject, world, audience, and time.

## 3. Shot-size grammar

Shot size is measured relative to the story subject, not only a human body.

Interpretive tendencies are context-dependent:

Angle and height are separate. A camera can be high but level, or low and tilted upward.
